Alex Shelly Says ROH Paid For His Medical Bills Over Broken Teeth, Praises The Company

Alex Shelly took to Twitter to give ROH credit for paying for the teeth he shattered during his match at ROH Field of Honor over the weekend. Shelley had previously said that his front two teeth were shattered after he took a knee from Mark Briscoe:

I should add that Ring of Honor is an extremely honorable company. No pun intended. Was informed several times they will be covering…

The cost of maintenance on my teeth completely because it happened in their ring. Don’t remember a ton, but I do remember that. ROH rules.

And just because my family wants me finished doesn’t make it so. I just gotta think for a minute. One day, I will be more open about this.

Eva Marie spoke with Crave Online for a new interview. Check out the highlights:

On her training schedule with Brian Kendrick: “Obviously, I didn’t come out of the womb wrestling so I think everything was the most difficult. I’m a field athlete. My sport was soccer growing up so just putting my body in all of those different positions was definitely new and different for me. It was fun each day because we got to learn something totally different than the day before but I haven’t been able to train that consistently since I joined WWE so for me that was really putting my body through the ultimate test.”

On her NXT entrance attire: “That was collaboration between Brian [Kendrick] and myself. His wife actually made my robe for me. I love the old school wrestling. That’s what I watched with my brothers so I wanted to bring back the over the top pageantry, the glam, and no Diva on the roster has an entrance like that so I wanted to be different and bring something new into the generation that I’m in right now.”

On why she has so many hateful critics: “To be honest, I don’t know the root of the animosity. I’m really just trying to train and get better at my job so I can get on those girls level and be able to entertain and put on matches that everybody is happy about. That’s where I’m coming from. The funny thing is, I’m in California and in Orlando. I’ve been training at the WWE Performance Center as well. It’s just the fact that the times I’m not in Orlando training at the Performance Center, I’m getting in the ring with Brian Kendrick. I’m doing the best that I possibly can with both situations. I’m working on the NXT live events and I go out to Orlando two weeks out of each month so that I can train.”

On whether she can be the face of the Divas division: “Absolutely! 100 percent without a doubt. That’s the plan.”

Paul Heyman Discusses Seth Rollins As WWE Champion & His Future, Talks Friendship With Brock Lesnar

In an interview with CBS Sports, Paul Heyman spoke about his friendship with Brock Lesnar and the future of Seth Rollins in WWE. Here are highlights:

Also read: Paul Heyman On WWE WrestleMania 31, Brock Lesnar Staying With Company, His Future With WWE

On the secret to keeping Brock Lesnar content: “I’ve never let him down. I always tell Brock Lesnar the truth. I don’t appease Brock Lesnar. I don’t placate Brock Lesnar. When Brock Lesnar asks me for an opinion, I give to him an honest opinion that I’m willing to back up with facts, with theory. It’s never just what he wants to hear, or what benefits me the most. And I get the same from him, I assure you.”

On Seth Rollins as WWE Champion: “I think Seth Rollins is a perennial champion for the next decade. I think in the same way that John Cena and Randy Orton are multi, multi-time champions from 2005 on, I think that is now Seth Rollins’ position. I think Seth Rollins is in the title picture for the next decade. He has established himself as a main event performer. He has delivered on every occasion that he has had the opportunity to perform. And he has risen to the top faster than anyone else that has been called up so far from NXT. So I think Seth Rollins is just at the very beginning of his career as a main eventer. I mean, Seth Rollins was involved in the main event of this year’s WrestleMania, but he wasn’t advertised as a main event at this year’s WrestleMania. We have yet to see Seth Rollins have the opportunity to perform in a WrestleMania main event. I don’t think you’ve even seen Seth Rollins scratch the surface of what he’s capable of doing.”

On his assessment of the WWE roster: “I think there is a roster filled with superstars that have yet to be exploited to their full potential. I don’t think anyone realizes how much Bray Wyatt has to offer. Roman Reigns has been in an advertised WrestleMania main event. I don’t think people have even seen more than one or two layers of Roman Reigns, and there’s a lot — there’s a lot more to Roman Reigns than what you’ve seen so far. Cesaro, who has been knocking on the door of the main events for the past several years, is just now coming into his own, and what an opportunity he has with Kevin Owens to put on career-making performances for both of them at SummerSlam. I think the women have an opportunity just in the next year or so to become bona fide, first-time-ever pay-per-view main eventers in WWE. How could you not look at the Bellas, how could you not look at Paige, how could you not look at Charlotte and Sasha Banks, how could you not look at these women and say that they are going to main event? Because they are. It’s the journey that they’re on and they back it up with their performances every night. And there’s a crop of talent in NXT that has not had the mass exposure of network television outside of the WWE Network, that is just chomping at the bit to take advantage of the opportunity of that mass exposure. So I think it’s a roster full of people that are going to ascend to the top. I think the question is who gets there first, and who gets there second and third?”
