Brock Lesnar Comments On Possible USADA Violation, Other Tests Came Back Clean, Mark Hunt Ultimatum

– As noted, the UFC announced Friday night that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency informed Brock Lesnar of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation from an out-of-competition sample collection taken on June 28, 2016. Lesnar issued a short statement to the Associated Press, saying, “We’ll get to the bottom of this.”

The Associated Press also reported that they received three letters from USADA to Lesnar informing him that he had passed tests on three other samples collected in mid-June, days before the sample with the potential violation was collected.

– Lesnar’s opponent at UFC 200, Mark Hunt, said that he wants UFC to “sort” the situation out or he wants his release.

“They say they are trying to clean up the sport, but it doesn’t feel like it,” Hunt told MarkHunt.TV. “The UFC is basically saying if you cheat you won’t be penalised.

“This is the third time I’ve had to fight a cheater in my career. The other two times I didn’t ask for compensation, but this is the third time and I’m sick of them getting away with cheating. I’ve told Dana that I want a release from the UFC if they don’t sort this out.”

Paul Heyman Has Interesting Theory Regarding Brock Lesnar Beating The Undertaker Being A Shoot

Wrestling Inc. reader Innes McVey passed along this report from tonight’s An Evening With Paul Heyman show in Glasgow:

* Heyman brought up an interesting theory about the Streak ending which he said “Is it me f–king with you or am I telling you something you’re not supposed to know?”. He suggested the notion that it was actually planned that Taker was to go over at Wrestlemania 30, but Brock, in a shoot, beat down Taker so bad, and hooked Taker’s leg in a way, that he couldn’t kick out.

He explained that in that case, WWE could not fire Lesnar because he had just beaten the Undertaker’s streak and that the only way out of the situation was to go with Lesnar beating the streak. Heyman also mentioned that this explains why Lesnar’s music was not immediately played after he pinned Taker and why Taker collapsed as soon as he got through the curtain.

He also confirmed, if the story he told wasn’t true, that the only people who knew about the streak’s end was himself, Lesnar, Taker & Vince.

Brock Lesnar Informed By USADA Of Potential Anti-doping Violation, UFC Issues Statement

* When it was pointed out to him that Mark Dallas, the owner of Insane Championship Wrestling, was in the crowd, Heyman went on a personal note to say that he had a lot of respect for Dallas for being one of the driving forces of the British Wrestling scene and for putting everything into his promotion.

* An audience member was ejected during the show. As Heyman started to tell his theory about Lesnar winning at WM being a shoot, a drunken crowd member started actively shouting and swearing at Heyman about the theory being false. Heyman first, in a joking manner, bannters with the crowd member but as they started to get more rowdy, Heyman told him to “Shut the f–k up.”

The crowd member continued to argue; leading to the host to also tell him to be quiet, crowd rallying into a “Shut the f–k up” chant and eventually being ejected from the venue, to the chant “Na, Na, Na, Na. Na, Na, Na, Na. Hey, Hey, Hey! Goodbye!”

* Heyman closed out the show similarly to the other two, with him repaying the audience by having them featured in an upcoming Heyman Hustle video. He lead the crowd into saying “Ladies and Gentlemen, My Name is Paul Heyman” before inciting a crowd-wide cheer for the video.

Brock Lesnar Informed By USADA Of Potential Anti-Doping Policy Violation, UFC Issues Statement

UFC announced Friday night that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) notified them of informing Brock Lesnar on a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection taken last month.

Brock Lesnar On Jon Jones Being Pulled From UFC 200, PEDs, Roman Reigns' WWE Suspension, More

The UFC issued this statement:

The UFC organization was notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Brock Lesnar of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection on June 28, 2016. USADA received the testing results from the June 28, 2016 sample collection from the WADA-accredited UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory on the evening of July 14, 2016.

USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case. It is important to note that, under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full fair legal review process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed. The Nevada State Athletic Commission also retains jurisdiction over this matter as the sample collection was performed in close proximity to Lesnar’s bout at UFC 200 in Las Vegas.

Consistent with all previous potential anti-doping violations, additional information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.

This news comes six days after Lesnar made a successful return to MMA at UFC 200, defeating Mark Hunt by unanimous decision.

Rich Swann On Working With Finn Balor And Baron Corbin, CWC Making Wrestling Great Again, More

Source: The Baltimore Sun

WWE CWC competitor Rich Swann was recently interviewed by The Baltimore Sun. Below are some highlights:

Working televised matches against Baron Corbin and Finn Balor:

“Baron Corbin, I watched him a lot when I was in Japan, and I saw the way that he was making waves. I knew that he was going to be one of the best. He’s proving just that. I was in a losing effort against him. He’s a big, tough, guy. He doesn’t take anything from anybody. He’s doing great on RAW now.

“As far as working against Finn Balor, I always idolized him. I looked up to him. When I was in Dragon Gate Pro Wrestling, he came to Dragon Gate, and was the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion. I always wanted to get the chance to wrestle him, and to do it in a WWE ring was priceless.”

If WWE has been what he’s expected so far:

“It actually hasn’t been exactly what I expected. But I didn’t expect to come in and for it to be sunshine and rainbows either. I’m coming in, I’m busting my tail, I’m working hard and enjoying the challenges that are being thrown at me every day.”

What is says about WWE that the CWC is taking place:

“I think it says greatness. There’s no words that I could put that into. It’s making this business great again. Not to say that it wasn’t great before, but it’s changing on us. It’s bringing an audience that probably did not watch before, now they’re seeing something different. They’re want to take a look at this. They’re getting the WWE Network, which you can get for $9.99, and it creates greatness.”

Swann also discussed making weight for the tournament, getting his big break after a tweet from Wale, what winning the CWC would do for him and more. You can read the full interview by clicking here.

Chris Jericho On Why There Won't Be “Stupid Idiot” WWE Merchandise, Being Pushed By Younger Talent

Source: FanSided

Ted Gruber has a new interview on FanSided with Chris Jericho, who was promoting his new podcast network, “The Jericho Network.” Below are a couple of highlights:

His current WWE run:

“It’s always a blast coming back. I think the work I’m doing this year has been the best of my career. At least since 2008-2009. It’s fun being heel and being locked into something I haven’t been doing for years. I think it’s really grown on people.

“Let me tell you the guys I’m working with that are 10-15 years younger than me are pushing me to that next level. It’s so much fun because my desire level continues to rise and work that much harder. As long as I still can move and feel like I’m at my peak, I will continue to do this. If I ever start feeling like I’m going down the totem pole, ability wise. People say age is just a number and it really is. Psychologically, I feel like I’m at the top of my game.”

News On When Chris Jericho's Current WWE Run Is Ending

When WWE will release some “Stupid Idiot” merch:

“I have a real rule that when I’m heel I don’t want the WWE selling my merchandise. I don’t want someone in the crowd wearing a shirt with that phrase and thinking it’s funny when it’s supposed to be an insult. I still have enough old school in me that I don’t want people wearing my slogans or phrases that are supposed to be booing me. Does it really matter? Probably not. But it’s one of those things to me that it does matter. Maybe it will piss you off that there are no shirts out there so it will make you boo or hate me more.”

Jericho also discussed his new podcast network, his band Fozzy, whether social media has hurt wrestling and more. You can read the full interview by clicking here.
